Rochester Minnesota's Finest Seafood Restaurant
Serving fish so fresh that yesterday they were still swimming.
We proudly serve the most sustainable, line-caught fish that is available to us on a daily basis. Shipping in fresh fish from around the world six days a week, we feature (when in season): Wild Alaskan Halibut, Salmon (Wild Alaskan, Scottish or Atlantic), Hawaiian Ahi Tuna, Costa Rican Mahi Mahi, and Icelandic Arctic Char (just to name a few).
Along with our fresh fish, we also are pleased to offer the finest oysters, mussels, scallops and shrimp from the sea.
For those not inclined towards seafood, we suggest trying our delicious steaks—New York Strip or Filet Mignon. Additionally, our moderately-priced “Signature Dishes” feature pastas, walleye, cold-water lobster tails, risottos, and vegetarian options; making our menu the most well-rounded list of tastes and culinary creativity in the area.
Always an Excellent Choice
Pescara, best known for our elegant and intimate evening dining, also has a bright and sophisticated atmosphere during the morning and daytime hours. This makes Pescara an excellent choice for breakfast with the family, brunch with the girls, or a corporate luncheon.
Our first-rate culinary and service standards set Pescara apart as the ideal location for after-theater appetizers, romantic dinners and family celebrations, but because of our low-key and relaxed setting we are the perfect restaurant for your everyday dining experience. To enhance those experiences we boast extensive wine, beer and cocktail menus that guarantee libations for every palate.
Chef Anthony Pester
Chef Anthony Pester knew his calling at an early age. Two weeks after graduating from high school, he started his education at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Minneapolis. After graduation from Le Cordon Bleu, Tony did his internship at Maxim’s in Paris, France. Upon returning to Minnesota, Tony worked as banquet chef and sous chef at the Nicollet Island Inn. His experience in Paris was the greatest time of his life up until now, working in the kitchen with the Pescara team of chefs and hospitality-driven staff.
General Manager Xavi Torres
A Rochester native, Xavi discovered the restaurant industry by accident when he took his first job as a dishwasher and short order cook at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. This discovery led him to Catalonia to study culinary arts in San Pol de Mar, just north of Barcelona. Upon graduation, he was off to Mexico where he worked for four years until his passion for learning led him to Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration where he successfully completed the Master Of Management in Hospitality. Since then, he has worked for Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, and the Venetian and Palazzo in Las Vegas. He now calls Pescara home, where he enjoys sharing his experience and passion for service and wine with our staff. Xavi is also a Certified Sommelier accredited by the Court of Master Sommeliers, and a member of the Guild of Sommeliers.
When he is not at Pescara, he spends time enjoying the company of his lovely wife and son, furthering his wine education, and watching soccer (futbol).
